Adjuvants
The Citron line-up of products exhibits cutting edge technology that has been developed to condition spray water unlike any other product on the market today. The Citron products are acid-based adjuvants that, when used properly, condition the spray tank water by drastically lower the pH level. In effect, Citron minimizes the antagonisms that can occur between tank-mixed flowable pesticides and Calcium (Ca), Magnesium (Mg), and Iron (Fe) - the main minerals in water. In the process, positive Hydrogen (H) ions are produced, allowing for less bonding between glyphosate molecules and cations in the spray tank water.
Despite its advanced chemical formulation, you don't need a degree in chemistry to know that the Citron branded products work more effectively and at lower use rates than any other competitive product. That's because Citron products do more than just condition the water.
They also increase the performance of most flowable tank mixed pesticides, especially the glyphosate molecule found in many contact herbicide products. As the most common water conditioning agent used today, Ammonium Sulfate (AMS) only allows the glyphosate molecule to be absorbed into the plant tissue at a rate of 17%. However, due to the ability of Citron products to change the chemical structure of the spray water, plant tissue absorption is increased to 47%. That's a 276% improvement over the competition.
Greater pesticide absorption in turn leads to a quicker and more efficient kill. On average, in independent trials, weeds or pests showed signs of stress and die-off two days faster with a Citron branded product compared to AMS.
Citron branded products work well with all glyphosate products and many other herbicide, insecticide, and fungicide formulations. However, using Citron branded products with some sulfonylureas could inhibit performance of the chemical or in some instances cause crop damage. Please consult us for a complete list of approved chemicals and a list of those that are not recommended with the use of a Citron product.
